Bright eyes and blending colours

I was inspired by Asian Wedding makeup how bright and bold colours are used confidently to express the outfit and jewelry. It's essential to pick colours from the material that complement the pieces. Last night I decided to experiment by mixing some colours together to create a dramatic yet soft eye. Mixing shades and adding contrasting colours draw attention to the eye, by blending it softens and creates an elegant and seductive look. I also used bottom eyelashes to enhance my eyes (tricky application but once you get the hang of it its easy! however it didn't feel to comfortable!)

This weekend I had the lovely Coco model for me :) she was great and worked every single look. Also stylist Rachel Tsang did an amazing job with clothing and accessorize. Overall I great productive day, great shoot, can't wait for the pictures!! for now I'll just post some behind the scene pictures :)

Woah.. After a long week at work I managed to still keep up the hard work and focused on my MUA work over the weekend. The photographer had a cool water concept and a geisha/rocky edgy style which was pretty cool, different from all the things I've done already. Another Photo Shoot..Another Step Closer

I've been quiet a busy bee lately, planning photo shoots building and collecting ideas for my portfolio as a variety of styles and genres are a must to show versatility. it's important to show a range and skills as mentioned by Nicci Jackson (my mentor from MUSE School) at least 10 different shots are needed before I can approach agencies and try to assist other top MUA, so for now its just practice and self learning.

Over the weekend I did my first location shoot with my lovely friend Jennifer Chan, We did some Fashion, Beauty and Glamour shots, Here are some images :) Hope you like them.

Leeds Castle & Bridal Makeup day

Today was my first time assisting a makeup artist doing a bridal look. I was over the moon when I realized the wedding ceremony was held at Leeds Castle in/near Kent. OMG it was sooooo beautiful and it was such an experience. Got to see another makeup artist at work, doing a hair up as well took in and learnt some tips and hints :P Scenery was absolutely amazing worth me waking up at 6am! We got lost afterwards trying to find our car lol but we found a lovely guy who was so kind even offered to help us find the car..so we got to hop onto the golf car and drive around!! wohoo what a fun and tiring day out..Just a few pictures of Leeds Castle, the bride's room.

Nails Inc Special effect - Magnetic Collection - Launched Today!!! September 2011

So it was my last day at work on Saturday and I was just strolling around the beauty hall when I caught eyes on this new range from Nails Inc.

Okay so this is how it works..paint your nails normally with the polish, two coats to get it nice and even. It comes with a magnetic top which you take and hover over the wet polish for about 8-10 seconds. Lift it up and it should look like the picture below. Magic huh? I think its pretty cool..gives you this ripple effect, very elegant. Everyone I showed was amazed by it and said it looks really good, some prefer it to the cracked effect. I used House of Parliament, the purple one.

Oh and they are £13rrp each!

Iphone Comic Book App

My boyfriend downloaded this really cool app called comic book, you can pick your photos and make a comic strip, add captions, stickers etc really cool. I spent 20min and this is what i made for my bf hehe

Bank Holiday weekend of fun!!

This bank holiday weekend has been so exhausting. Went out on Saturday and Sunday night both nights was fun packed! full of alcohol!!! lack of sleep and being in heels far too long..feet, back, whole body is aching mad!! had KFC and Macdonalds so bad but was much needed :) A few pictures (of course from the toilet breaks) from one crazy night out again!

Had pink lipstick and Lipgloss from Barry M but cant see it in the pictures but here are the two products.. Hot Pink..Lovely colours. 

Lip stick stains your lips a bit but i guess thats a good thing if your out all night, just a touch of lipgloss and the colour is still there. the lipgloss smells of bubblegum, a bit like hubba bubba :)
